Speakers’ Information
Vladimir Momčilović is a Professor at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, University of Belgrade, Vice-Dean for Research (2024–2025), AET Council member and Chair of the ETC Programme Committee on Global Trends impacting Transport (GTiT). With 30 years of experience, he has contributed to more than 80 international and national projects, specialising in automated and autonomous mobility, e-mobility, commercial vehicle operations, vehicle legislation and driver-related regulatory frameworks. | ![]() |
Johnny Ojeil is the Global Leder for Urban & Transport planning at Ramboll. Johnny is a transport planner and infrastructure specialist with over 38 years’ experience in the UK and overseas. He has gained experience in delivering projects in the road, public transport, maritime and rail sectors including sustainable urban mobility plans and projects. He also has delivered transport masterplans for large scale developments including new cities. He has considerable experience in the field of transportation modelling, public transport, traffic engineering and planning and highway engineering projects. Johnny has substantial Aviation (Surface Access) and IFI experience and has led multi-country EC programs in the MENA region. As Project Director/Lead expert, he is responsible for the successful implementation of numerous EU, EIB, WB and EBRD financed technical assistance and capacity building programmes. He has extensive international experience implementing projects in over 35 countries. | ![]() |
Siamak Khorgami is a Regional Director at AECOM and Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation with 22 years’ experience in transport modelling, data analytics, and policy appraisal. He has led the development of best-practice guidance, including UK DfT advice on activity-based modelling and data sources. His expertise spans travel behaviour, data fusion, and model application for investment decisions. Siamak is a Council Member of the Association for European Transport, a contributor to its programme committees, a guest lecturer at UCL, and Data Analytics and Mobility Insights Technical Lead at AECOM UK & Ireland. | ![]() |
Thierry Vanelslander is a professor at the Department of Transport and Regional Economics of the University of Antwerp. He is currently course co-ordinator for the courses 'Port Economics and Business' at C-MAT, and 'Transportbedrijfseconomie' and 'Maritieme en Haveneconomie' at the Faculty of Business and Economics. His research focuses on business economics in the port and maritime sector, and in hinterland transport and urban logistics. He furthermore is chair of the SIGA2 Maritime and Ports and topic area manager Transport Modes within WCTR, and chair Freight & Logistics at ETC. | ![]() |
Ben Condry is an Associate Director of the Transport Strategy Centre (TSC) at Imperial College London, where he leads the TSC's railway-related applied research and consultancy projects working closely with many of the world’s major railways to provide strategic advice. With over 25 years' professional experience in industry, academia and consultancy, Ben has an extensive knowledge and understanding of railways at both a strategic and a detailed level. His expertise covers a broad range of subjects including, strategy and policy, demand forecasting and planning, operational and commercial analysis, and asset management. | ![]() |
Andre Goncalves is a transport modeller at Sweco, where he works on the development and application of models to support evidence-based transport planning and policy. Alongside his professional work, he is actively involved in the wider transport community and currently serves as Chair of the Young Researchers’ and Practitioners’ Forum (YRPF) at the European Transport Conference. In this role, he supports emerging talent and promotes innovative thinking, helping to connect new voices with established expertise across the sector. | ![]() |
