Training for Transportation Professionals (tftp) partner with the Association for European Transport (AET) to deliver the well-respected European Transport Conference (ETC).  Now in its 46th year the conference continues to connect the worlds of research, consultancy, policy and practice of Transport Planning.

 

Working closely with the ten programme committees which organise the technical aspect of the event – tftp help deliver the technical programme, social activities and logistical elements of the event.

The yearly event allows industry leaders, innovators and up-coming professionals to pose questions, discuss, learn, share views and collaborate on new ideas. Researchers are challenged by policy-makers; policy-makers pose questions to innovators and innovators deliver interesting and thought provoking revelations. ​

 

The range of topics and the multi-seminar approach makes ETC unique among transport conferences held in Europe. The Conference programme covers supra-national issues, national and local policy, and the implementation of projects at a local level. Issues of key importance are picked out each year for special examination and are debated in daily plenary sessions.
