Present your work on Aviation at Europe’s leading transport forum
The Aviation Programme Committee is now inviting abstract submissions for the European Transport Conference 2026 (ETC), taking place 9–11 September 2026 at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, Portugal.
ETC is the premier multidisciplinary transport conference in Europe, bringing together policy makers, researchers and practitioners to share insights, debate challenges and shape future transport solutions across all modes
Call for Papers: Aviation Stream
This year, the Aviation Programme Committee is seeking high-quality abstracts that address current and emerging issues in aviation transport. We welcome submissions from researchers and practitioners that demonstrate innovation, good practice, lessons learned, and real-world impact.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
Airport masterplanning (landside and airside)
Net zero and sustainability initiatives, including modal share assessments
Connectivity and access to airports, especially mass transit integration
Environmental monitoring and evaluation
Aviation economics, policy and competitive analysis
Terminal design, passenger experience and simulation studies
Research in forecasting, accessibility, net-zero and economic studies
Air transport case studies and cross-modal projects
Drone related studies and advancements in this field
We especially encourage abstracts that present evidence-based results or quantified insights, as well as studies that stimulate debate and knowledge exchange among the aviation and wider transport community. For more information, please visit our Aviation Call for Papers.
Programme Committees
Twelve Programme Committees develop the conference programme by identifying key themes, reviewing abstracts and shaping a balanced three-day schedule. Made up of AET members from diverse technical and professional backgrounds, they also issue topic-specific calls for papers, available on the AET website.
Your opportunity to present at the most established transport conference in Europe!
You are invited to submit an abstract based on one of the above themes, or on one of those suggested by the Programme Committees. Abstract submission closes on 6 Feb 2026. Submissions may be made via the Association's website. You will need to register once as an author and then you can submit as many abstracts as you wish. Both AET members and non-members are invited to submit abstracts and to speak at the conference. Authors selected to speak at ETC can request a peer review of their papers and a selection of reviewed papers is published online or in special issues of journals. More details are available on the AET website. |
