Transport & Mobility Forum is pleased to announce further details of the FREE in-venue and online event hosted by DLR:

Driving towards the future with electric mobility: EV charging infrastructure as the key to progress

Thursday 14 March 2024

14.30 – 16.00hrs CET: Online webinar live on Zoom

13.00 – 18.00hrs CET: In-Venue event in Berlin, including seminar, workshop and networking

Presentation 2:

Deployment of recharging points in the European Union: an overview of policy and market developments

Speaker: Jonatan Gómez Vilchez, Postdoctoral Researcher in Financial Economics and Accounting, University of Cadiz.

Jonatan is postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cádiz. He has an MA in transport economics from the University of Leeds and later studied at the Karlsrude Institute of Technology Institute for Industrial Production, becoming Chair of Energy Economics. His working experience includes GIZ Consultant in Bonn, and as a Technical Officer - Scientific Research at the European Commission.

In this presentation, Jonatan will cover the implications of EU Directive 2014/94 and ‘State of the art on alternative fuels transport systems in the European Union – 2020 update’ and EU Regulation 2023/1804. This sets the regulatory context for vehicle charging infrastructure in the EU and could be a key influencer on non-EU countries in Europe too.

Speaker details for presentations 3 and 4 will be released next week, so please keep an eye on your inbox.

  • Presentation 3: Demand-oriented localisation of charging demand and energy system flexibility in Germany - Moritz Bergfeld and Jens Hellekes
